UConn Settles on Potential Buyer for West Hartford Campus
The university's board of trustees will meet on Wednesday and is expected to vote to authorize negotiations with an education group.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — UConn has settled on the Weiming Education Group as the potential buyer for its West Hartford campus, according to FOX 61.
FOX 61 reports UConn has come to a tentative agreement to sell the property for $12.6 million to the Weiming Education Group, which wants to an international high school that would serve American, Asian, European and South American students and include student housing.
UConn’s Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday and one of the agenda items added was for trustees to vote to authorize negotiations for the property with the Weiming Education Group, according to FOX 61.
West Hartford has the right to match the sale price and purchase the 58-acre property for the town’s use.
