Universalist Church of West Hartford Announces New Minister

Rev. Dr. Adam Robersmith to Continues the Universalist Church of West Hartford's Spiritual Growth and Community Outreach

The Universalist Church of West Hartford has named Rev. Dr. Adam Robersmith as its new minister, who will continue to expand the Church’s spiritual deepening and charitable outreach to the Greater Hartford community.

“Rev. Adam’s personal and professional background perfectly complement our mission to create spirituality and community in our sanctuary and beyond, working for justice and love in our own lives and in the world,” said Tracey Wilson, co-moderator of the Board of Trustees.

“I’m so honored to be part of such a loving and active religious community,” said Rev. Dr. Adam Robersmith. “The Universalist Church of West Hartford really lives its spiritual commitments to love and transformation through worship and programs that support Black Lives Matter, Standing on the Side of Love, the Red Cross blood drives, the LGBTQ community and our many food ministry initiatives.”

Rev. Robersmith is a graduate of Cornell University, and has a Master of Divinity degree from Starr King School and a Doctor of Ministry from the Chicago Theological Seminary. He is also a musician, storyteller and educator, whose theology draws from many different sources, including the transcendentalists, feminism, Taoism, earth-centered practices, and Jewish and Christian traditions. Previously, Rev. Robersmith served with the Second Unitarian Church of Chicago and with Unitarian Universalist congregations in Illinois and Arizona.

The Universalist Church of West Hartford is located at 433 Fern Street in West Hartford, CT. Services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m. and include a mix of inspiring words and music, time for reflection, and opportunities to connect with others. It’s upcoming holiday schedule includes a celebration of Hanukkah on December 17 at 10 a.m.; a modern and contemplative service on December 24 at 10 a.m.; a Christmas pageant and with carols on December 24 at 5 p.m.; and lessons and carols on December 24 at 9 p.m. You can learn more about Rev.
