USJ Physician Assistant Students All Pass Major Licensing Exam
Officials with the West Hartford university said it has achieved a 100-percent pass rate for a key certification exam for PA students.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The University of Saint Joseph, located in West Hartford, said 100 percent of the students in its Physician Assistant Studies program have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) for the sixth year in a row.
This board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for graduates of PA programs to be licensed in the United States to practice medicine as a PA.

“The 100 percent pass rate for our 40 graduating students demonstrates their commitment to excellence and dedication to healthcare,” said Tricia Marriott, director and chair of the PA Studies Program, School of Pharmacy and PA Studies.
“These students will join USJ graduates from the past six years in providing exceptional care as they pursue the practice of medicine in the workforce. We are equally appreciative of USJ’s faculty and staff who provide unwavering support for our students’ success.”
Earlier this summer, USJ’s PA Studies Team won first place at the annual Connecticut Academy of Physician Associates (ConnAPA) State Medical Challenge Bowl, held at Quinnipiac University.
