Video, Images Released Of West Hartford Carjacking
West Hartford police are on the hunt for a suspect in a weekend carjacking.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police in West Hartford Monday released a photo and video of a suspect in a weekend carjacking involving an elderly woman.
The incident took place Sunday. At 11:24 a.m, West Hartford police received a report that a 71-year-old woman had been carjacked in front of 54 Cody St. According to police, the woman told authorities that she was dropping off her vehicle at a repair shop and was waiting in the parking lot inside the car. The suspect approached the car, displayed a handgun, removed her from the vehicle and then stole it, police said.
The woman did not report any injuries, police said.

The carjacking suspect is being described as a Black man staring between 6 feet and 6-foot-2 with a thin build wearing wearing a black mask, a puffy black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Police said the stolen vehicle is a 2013 dark gray Honda Accord LX 4D sedan bearing CT Registration AE79232, according to police.
