WeHa: Don't Like Tax Assessment? Appeal It

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Don't like your tax assessment? Appeal it.

The Town of West Hartford has recently announced the procedure taxpayers can take if they don't agree with their assessments and their accompanying tax bills.

The West Hartford Board of Assessment Appeals is now accepting appeal applications for real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle assessments on the Oct. 1, 2023, Grand List and motor vehicles assessments on the Oct. 1, 2022, supplemental Grand List.

Appeal applications are available online at http://www.westhartfordct.gov or in the Assessment Office, Room 142 of the West Hartford Town Hall.

Applications can be mailed to the West Hartford Assessment Office, Attn: West Hartford Board of Assessment Appeals, 50 S. Main St., Room 142, West Hartford, CT 06107.

Appeal applications must be filled out and received on or before Feb. 20, 2024, for an appeal to be heard.
