WeHa Library Celebrating Taylor Swift (And Other Activities)

The West Hartford Public Library is hosting a day of fun in celebration of National Bring a Child to the Library Day on Saturday, Feb. 3.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — No, Taylor Swift is not showing up at a West Hartford library Saturday, but guests to one event there that day will feel like she did.

Saturday, Feb. 3, is national "Take Your Child to the Library Day" and West Hartford is definitely all in on the celebration.

As a result, Saturday at West Hartford's Noah Webster branch of the West Hartford Public Library system, 20 S. Main St., promises to be festive and fun with a plethora of free family activities for children of all ages.

Highlighting the day's activities is a celebration for pop icon Taylor Swift, the country's most famous Kansas City Chiefs fan.

The following is what can be expected in West Hartford on Saturday:

CHILDREN & FAMILIES

10 am-4:30 pm (Children’s Department) - Scavenger Hunt & Color a Bookmark

11 am–12 pm and 2-3 pm (Children's Dept.) - Make a Picture Frame

10:30–11:00 am (Storyroom) - “Lily and the Egg”

11:30 am (Storyroom) - West Hartford Immigrant Teen Storytime (Bilingual)

TWEENS & TEENS
10:30 am-12:30 pm (Meeting Room) We Love Taylor Swift Party!
(Allowed Grades: Fifth Grade to 12th Grade ... so big brothers/sisters are welcome)

At the Taylor Swift party where guests will listen to her music, make beaded bracelets, decorate Valentine’s cookies, and do Taylor Swift-themed trivia.

Space is limited for the Swifty celebration, so registration is required, with online registration closing at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
