Driving To West Hartford's 'Chanukah Fire On Ice?' What you Need To Know
The area's largest Chanukah celebration is Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Town officials Thursday announced traffic impacts, parking options and road closures associated with the area's largest Chanukah celebration Sunday night, Dec. 18.
According to the Town of West Hartford, LaSalle Road, from Arapahoe Road to Farmington Avenue, will close at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, in preparation for the Chabad of Greater Hartford’s annual "Chanukah Fire on Ice" event.
At 2:30 p.m., LaSalle Road will close from Ellsworth Road to Farmington Avenue prior to the start of the event at 4 p.m.

Parking is available at five nearby lots. Click here to view parking locations. Vehicles can park on the road where legally allowed.
Businesses on the east side of LaSalle Road should enter their lots by using the Memorial Road extension. The bollards will be removed so vehicles can pass through.

Employee parking for tenants on the west side of LaSalle Road will be located in the Farmington Avenue municipal lot.
The town’s parking division has provided a one-day parking permit for tenants and employees to display on their vehicle’s dashboard.
Permits are obtained through the business manager.
Entrance to the lot will be via Farmington Avenue, as the entrance on LaSalle Road will be closed for the event.
LaSalle Road will reopen at about 8 p.m., according to town officials.
