West Hartford Democrats Re-Elect Chair, Name Officers For 2026–28
The West Hartford Democratic Town Committee announced the roles on Friday.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Democratic Town Committee has elected its leadership team for the 2026–28 term, reappointing Peter Andrews as chairman, the group announced Friday.
Andrews, who has served as chair since May 2025, will continue in the role alongside a slate of officers chosen at the committee’s most recent meeting.
Megan Wallett was elected vice chair, while Sharon Huie will serve as recording secretary. Mario Volpe was named corresponding secretary, Jaime Marinan as treasurer, and Brian Sullivan as deputy treasurer.

Andrews said he plans to focus on the upcoming elections.
“I’m grateful to the DTC for the opportunity to continue serving as chair,” Andrews said. “Our team is energized as we prepare for the 2026 midterms. With so much at stake, we’re focused on electing Democratic candidates at every level who will meet the moment and deliver for West Hartford residents.”

Wallett also emphasized continued local engagement.
“It’s an honor to continue serving as vice chair,” Wallett said. “I’m proud to work alongside such a dedicated team, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to engage the community and support Democratic values here in West Hartford.”
According to the committee, Andrews works for the Connecticut House Democrats and has been involved in several political campaigns, including those for Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, state Reps. Jillian Gilchrest, Tammy Exum, and West Hartford Town Council member Tiffani McGinnis.
