West Hartford Emergency Dispatchers Honored By USJ
The University of Saint Joseph visited West Hartford's call center to honor them on National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local university took time out last week to honor West Hartford's emergency dispatchers during a special week dedicated to those who received emergency calls.
Representatives from the University of Saint Joseph visited the West Hartford Police Emergency Reporting Center to show support and gratitude for the dispatchers.

Their visit was during the 2024 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, which was April 14-20.
NPSTW was first established in 1981 as a national week to honor telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, which includes 9-1-1 call takers and dispatchers for police, fire, and emergency medical services.
