West Hartford Events Aim to Help Adults 50+ Re-enter Workforce
A West Hartford library will host April workshops helping adults over 50 build job skills and pursue new careers.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A new workshop series launching this April at the Noah Webster Library is designed to help adults age 50 and older navigate career transitions and reenter the workforce.
Seniors Job Bank announced its “Next Chapter Success” program, a multi-day series focused on equipping older adults with practical tools to pursue employment and “encore careers.”
The initiative is being presented in partnership with the West Hartford Noah Webster Library.

Organizers say the program responds to a growing demand among experienced workers seeking meaningful employment while remaining active in their communities.
The workshops will cover modern job search strategies, resume and LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, networking skills, and identifying transferable skills for career changes.

Participants will also receive guidance in digital literacy and personal branding.
The sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, April 7; Wednesday, April 8; and Thursday, April 9, from 1 to 4 p.m., with an additional networking session on April 9 from 4 to 5 p.m.
All take place at the Noah Webster Library, which is located at 20 S. Main St., West Hartford.
Seniors Job Bank said the program is designed to strengthen local workforce participation and reduce long-term unemployment among older adults, while supporting broader economic resilience.
