Call Out For EMT Hopefuls At West Hartford FD

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Fire Department is looking for a few good men and women to save lives.

In fact, the WHFD is anticipating multiple vacancies in the department's emergency medical technician ranks, adding to current openings.

As a result, it is opening seeking applications from those interested in a career as an EMT.

It is seeking currently licensed paramedics or those expected to graduate from paramedic programs by June 2023.

In addition to the paramedic requirement, applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license and Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card.

Those to successfully complete the hiring process will attend either the spring 2023 or fall 2023 recruit firefighter programs depending on paramedic license status.

Salaries range from $68,000 a year to $95,394 depending on experience.
