West Hartford Man Honored By Regional Healthcare Nonprofit
He was one of many honored by Wheeler Community Health Care, a nonprofit that operates in several Central Connecticut towns.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A community healthcare organization serving much of central Connecticut honored a West Hartford resident, among others, recently for honoring the nonprofit's mission.
Francis Vincent of West Hartford, a member of Wheeler Community Health Care's board of directors, was honored for his leadership role on the board.

"Under his direction and vision, Wheeler established its first capital campaign in decades, set an ambitious goal, and then expanded it, beating it convincingly and ahead of schedule," wrote Wheeler in a statement recently.
Two organizations and several individuals were honored by Wheeler for outstanding support of its mission at the organization’s 13th Annual Hands & Hearts event, held virtually, on Dec. 18.

This event recognizes individuals and families, corporations, and foundations for helping Wheeler provide equitable access to care that improves health, recovery, and growth at all stages of life.
Wheeler has recognized more than 85 philanthropists since the inception of this event.
“With the generous support of our Hands & Hearts award recipients today and all of our donors, we are able to meet the needs of the more than 60,000 individuals we serve annually,” said Sabrina Trocchi, president and chief executive officer, Wheeler.
Wheeler gave special credit to Vincent for his efforts.
"Francis’s hard work, drive, and generosity — including a significant leadership gift—were instrumental in Wheeler’s community center at One Hope Street becoming a reality," wrote Wheeler.
Wheeler is a nonprofit, community-based federally qualified health center, human services provider and therapeutic day school with sites in Bristol, Hartford, New Britain, Plainville and Waterbury.
