West Hartford Names New Athletic Director

Current athletic director Betty Remigino-Knapp is retiring at the end of June.

West Hartford, CT — West Hartford has named Jason Siegal as the school district’s new athletic director, according to multiple reports.

Siegal comes to West Hartford from the University High School of Science and Engineering in Hartford where he has worked since 2004 in roles such as physical education, health teacher most recently as a dean of students, according to the Hartford Courant.

Siegal oversaw the creation of the school’s athletic department, which started with no athletic programs and now has 17 varsity sports, according to the Courant.

Siegel will replace Betty Remigino-Knapp, who is retiring at the end of June after 20 years in the position, according to We-Ha.com.
