West Hartford PD's Finest Grow This Week

West Hartford Police department promotes three staff members, swears in five new officers.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Smiles and handshakes dominated a ceremony this week in West Hartford, where new officers were welcomed and current officers welcomed new roles.

On Wednesday, the WHPD had a joint promotion and swearing-in ceremony at West Hartford Town Hall, police announced via Facebook Friday afternoon.

In the post, congratulations were offered to newly promoted staff members: Capt. Daniel Moffo; Sgt. Christopher Lyth; and Sgt. Peter Caless.

Meanwhile, the department also welcomed some newcomers just starting their time at the WHPD.

They included: Ofc. Benjamin Santandreu; Ofc. Dustin Belfiore; Ofc. Patrick Lacruz; Ofc. Sean Waltman; and Ofc. Adnan Sadiku.

"We wish you the best in your new positions and to the new officers," reads the WHPD Facebook post Friday. "Welcome to the family."
