West Hartford Police Announce Promotion, Retirement

The police department held a ceremony Friday to honor several officers for their promotion, reassignments and retirement.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — (From the West Hartford Police Department): It is with great pleasure that Interim Police Chief Dan Coppinger announced the following promotion, reassignments and retirement:

• Officer Leigh Cogle to Detective, assigned to the Detective Division, effective Sunday, February 18, 2018.

• Detective Brian Hill to the Special Investigations Division, effective Sunday, February 18, 2018.

• Officer Mike Coyne to Court Officer, effective Monday, February 12, 2018.

The following retiree was also recognized:

• Officer Tom Nagle who served our Town/Department for 20 years. Best wishes to Tom and his family!

A ceremony was held in the Police Department’s Training classroom on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. to honor these officers. Congratulations & best wishes to all!
