West Hartford Police To Conduct Training Drill At Local School Next Week
Schools are closed for Spring Break next week, with police notifying the public of a heavy police presence.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are alerting residents that if they see police swarming a local school next week, there is no cause for alarm.
The West Hartford Police Department will conduct a training drill on Tuesday, April 14, at Norfeldt Elementary School, 35 Barksdale Road, with activity scheduled from noon to midnight.
Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area during that time, including multiple police vehicles, according to Captain Aaron Vafiades, public information officer for the department’s Support Services division.
