NY Man Charged In West Hartford Home Burglary
The suspect was charged in connection with, at least, one of a series of reported home burglaries in recent months.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police say they have in custody the man believed responsible for at least one in a string of residential burglaries in town.
The West Hartford Police Department late Tuesday morning announced the arrest of Mario Roberto Munoz-Acevedo, 52, of Flushing, N.Y., in connection with several home burglaries reported in town.
As a result, police said he's been charged with: first-degree burglary; first-degree larceny; and third-degree criminal mischief and he's being held on $500,000 bond.

"In recent months, the West Hartford Police Department has been diligently responding to, documenting and investigating reports of residential burglaries which occurred in town," wrote West Hartford Police Department spokesman Capt. Daniel Moffo Tuesday.
"Through exhaustive follow-up, and in cooperation with multiple law enforcement agencies both within Connecticut and beyond our borders, the West Hartford Police Department announces the arrest of an individual connected to one of our residential burglaries."

He said Munoz-Acevedo had been in custody in Nassau County, N.Y., on separate charges and was extradited from New York back to Connecticut and arrested by warrant at the WHPD.
Moffo said the investigation into many of these incidents is ongoing and no further information is available, though he did express gratitude for other police agencies involved.
"The West Hartford Police Department would like to thank our partner agencies who greatly contributed to this positive outcome, including the Wilton Police Department, the Westport Police Department, the Rocky Hill Police Department, the Naugatuck Police Department, and the Nassau County (New York) Police Department," he said.
