Wednesday's robbery comes two days after Southington police were called to that town's Stop & Shop, where a People's United Bank branch at 505 N. Main St. was robbed.
In that incident Monday, two males reportedly approached two separate tellers and handed over notes demanding money, leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash later.
Both males in Southington were wearing surgical style masks and hats that obscured their faces.
They were described by Southington police as being white, approximately 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall and approximately 25-30 years of age.
Southington police said there were no weapons displayed or implied during the robbery.
It is not known if the West Hartford incident is the same as the Southington incident, though both involved People's United Bank branches in Stop & Shop supermarkets.
