West Hartford Police Welcome 4 New Officers

Four new officers have been sworn in at the WHPD.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Police Department welcomed four new officers Wednesday in a ceremony at the Town Council Chambers.

The new officers are:

Kevin Kaselouskas, Badge 452

Kevin Kaselouskas grew up in Enfield and attended Enfield High School, where he graduated in 2013. He grew up wanting to pursue a career in Law Enforcement and went on to receive his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice at Asnuntuck Community College and his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Philosophy at Westfield State University. Upon graduation from college, he joined the United States Coast Guard for a four-year contract. Kevin started out in Boston, aboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter SPENCER, where he took part in a patrol regulating New England fisheries. He also patrolled in the Eastern Pacific apprehending marine based drug smugglers off the coast of Central America. He was then trained as a Boatswain’s Mate in Yorktown, VA and also served in Woods Hole, MA where he became a Coxswain, EMT, and was involved with numerous Search and Rescue Missions.

Hunter Humble, Badge 453

Hunter Humble grew up in East Haddam, and attended Hale-Ray High School and graduated in 2013. He attended Central Connecticut State University, where he went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Arabic. Upon graduation from college, he joined the West Hartford Police Department where he served as Police Officer before going on to become a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service. He was assigned to the New York Field Office working assignments nationwide for the current and former Presidents of the United States. Although he enjoyed his time as a Secret Service Special Agent, he is passionate about local policing and ultimately decided to return to the West Hartford Police Department.

Thomas Wallace, Badge 454

Thomas Wallace graduated high school from Norwich Free Academy in 2011. He then attended Lincoln Culinary Institute in Hartford, where he graduated and received his Certificate of Culinary and Arts. While at Lincoln Culinary Institute, he was given the opportunity to work for Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, as a Security Officer. He returned to Connecticut and was employed as a Sous Chef at Stoneridge Retirement Community in Mystic, while pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a police officer

Jacob Lamb, Badge 455

Jacob Lamb grew up in Salisbury, where he graduated from Salisbury Boys School. He went on to graduate from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology while playing for the university's Division 1 baseball team. After graduation, Jacob returned to Salisbury to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional at the local elementary and middle school, Salisbury Central School. Jacob then moved to West Hartford with his girlfriend and started his pursuit of a career in Law Enforcement.
