West Hartford Proposed Ordinance Would Prohibit Music in Restaurants, Businesses After 11

The proposed ordinance was briefly discussed by town council at their meeting.

WEST HARTFORD, CT – A proposed ordinance concerning how late music can be played in public was discussed at Tuesday’s town council meeting, the Hartford Courant.

The ordinance would prohibit live and pre-recorded music at business and restaurants after 11 p.m., according to the Hartford Courant. The ordinance will go to a public hearing on Oct. 13.

Business that offer music performances would also be required to apply for an entertainment license that would last a year, the Hartford Courant reported. People who operate without an entertainment license would be subject to a $250 a day fine.
