West Hartford Reminds Voters On Absentee Ballots For Aug. 11 Primaries
West Hartford voters can request absentee ballots now for the Aug. 11 primary election through the town clerk's office.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford voters who are unable to cast their ballots in person during Connecticut's Aug. 11 primary election can now request absentee ballots through the West Hartford Town Clerk's Office.
To receive an absentee ballot, voters must first submit an application.
Applications may be completed online through the Connecticut Secretary of the State's absentee ballot portal, submitted in person at the town clerk's office, or printed and mailed or delivered to West Hartford Town Hall.

The West Hartford Town Clerk's Office is located at 50 S. Main St., Room 313, and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Town officials noted that each absentee ballot application must include the original signature of the registered voter and that one person may not sign on behalf of another voter.

For added convenience, election drop boxes are available outside the main entrance of West Hartford Town Hall and at the Faxon Branch Library, 1073 New Britain Ave.
Officials encourage voters to use the drop boxes for both absentee ballot applications and completed ballots.
Voters returning ballots through the U.S. Postal Service are advised to allow enough time for ballots to arrive at the town clerk's office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The Aug. 11 Democratic primary ballot in West Hartford includes the contest for governor between Gov. Ned Lamont and Josh Elliott.
Democratic voters in Connecticut's 1st Congressional District will also choose among Luke Bronin, Ruth Fortune, Jillian Gilchrest and U.S. Rep. John B. Larson for the party's congressional nomination.
