The Academy is an 8-week program designed to give qualified community leaders an up close and personal look at how the FBI carries out its mission. “This was an incredible opportunity to have a window into the work the FBI does,” says Schwab, who has worked for the JCC since 2016. “I was in law enforcement for many years, and it was my hope to gain more perspective and a better understanding about the FBI’s mission. The goal of the Citizens Academy is to expose people to the far-reaching responsibility that this investigative body has.”

Upon graduation from the Academy, participants work with the Citizens Academy Alumni Association to promote a safer community through service projects and education programs.
