West Hartford Roadway To Be Re-Striped For Bike Lanes

The goal of the project is to enhance safety for bicyclists by providing wider lanes of travel.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Motorists and bicyclists alike will soon see some changes on a major roadway in town, with bicycle and motorist safety as the goal.

Town officials Wednesday said New Britain Avenue will be restriped as one lane in each direction.

The roadway will feature a center, two-way left-turn lane between the intersections of South Road in West Hartford and Newington Avenue in Hartford.
