WHPD Seeks Suspects In Store Robbery

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store in town.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, at about 7:23 p.m., WHPD officers were called to the Family Dollar story at 939 New Britain Ave. for a reported armed robbery.

Police said they believe at least two suspects, one with a handgun, stole undisclosed property and money from the store.

"Thankfully, the victim in this incident was not injured," wrote the WHPD in a statement Friday night.

According to police, both suspects were described as Black males, with one wearing a black mask and black hooded sweatshirt.

Police said the second suspect, who was in possession of a handgun, was reportedly wearing a white mask, black hat and red hooded sweatshirt.

This investigation remains active, according to police
