West Hartford Superintendent Of Schools Gets Major Award
West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Tom Moore received superintendent of the year accolades Friday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Tom Moore Friday was honored as the 2022 Superintendent of the Year by the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents.
Moore, 51, has worked in the West Hartford Public School system for 25 years.
Moore had his start at Conard High School in the history and social studies classrooms in 1996. He has been a department head and then served at the CHS principal from 2007 through 2010.

He then became an assistant superintendent before being named the school system chief in 2014.

"I want to congratulate Tom Moore for a richly deserved honor. There are very few people in this world I have come to admire more," Coleman said. "Tom is balanced and thoughtful in his leadership, with an astute focus on the full needs of his community and the children there. I admire him for standing in the arena on behalf of students and for building places where people with differences of opinion can come together and learn from each other."
