West Hartford Teen Stars In New Nick Jr. TV Series
The young actor performs as one of the main characters in a new preschool series on Nick Jr.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local young actor, Ben Stone-Zelman of West Hartford, made his Nick Jr. debut Monday, Sept. 24, in the new television series “Becca’s Bunch.” Stone-Zelman is the voice of “Pedro the Worm,” one of the four main characters in the new preschool series that will air every day at 3 p.m. on Nick Jr. ‘Becca’s Bunch’ has already launched around the world in England, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and more. Episodes are also available on nickjr.com and the Nick Jr. App.
Stone-Zelman, a sophomore at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, recorded 52 episodes of the show in New York City over the course of 15 months. He is represented by a New York City talent agency and has performed at Goodspeed Opera House as “Randolph” in BYE BYE BIRDIE, “Tommy Bailey” in A WONDERFUL LIFE, and most recently as “Will Rogers Jr.” in THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES, as well as at Hartford Stage in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He was also featured in the New York Times for his role of “Luke Majors” in the Pinna podcast series ‘GHOST OF JESSICA MAJORS’ by Gen-Z.
Becca’s Bunch combines live-action footage, puppetry, 2D and CG animation, stars a cast of handmade puppet characters, and features more than 4,000 individually crafter props and set pieces, according to Animation Magazine. To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
