West Hartford: Two Hurt In Collision Involving Police Vehicle

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police said no one suffered life-theatening injuries late Thursday afternoon when a West Hartford Police Department vehicle and a passenger vehicle collided.

According to the WHPD, both police and the West Hartford Fire Department were called to the intersection of Boulevard and Trout Brook Drive at about 4:43 p.m.

There, responders found that a police vehicle and private vehicle had collided.

Police said the drivers of both were transported to area hospitals for "apparent non-life threatening injuries."

"This incident is being actively investigated by the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Division," police said in a statement released Thursday night.

Boulevard and Trout Brook Drive were closed and the public was asked to avoid.
