West Hartford's 7-Day Forecast Includes Cooler Temps, Chance of Thunderstorms

Some areas saw temperatures that hit 90 degrees on Mother’s Day… well we’re in for a big change this week.

In fact, if you enjoy warmer temps, make sure to enjoy today’s weather as it will be sunny skies and a high of about 80 degrees.

Things change late tonight with fog rolling in and staying until Tuesday morning’s commute, and then there is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms with temps in the lows 80s. The rain threat is less than 50 percent, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning on Wednesday, the good news is it will be sunny, but temps will be hovering in the low to mid 60s until Friday when we could hit 70 degrees.

The initial forecast for the upcoming weekend calls for a chance of rain on Saturday, only 40 percent at this time, and sunny skies on Sunday. Again temperatures will struggle to hit the upper 60s next weekend.

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 86. South wind around 11 mph.

Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly after 9pm. Areas of fog after 2am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 66. South wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Areas of fog before 7am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 85. South wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
