West Hartford's USJ Grads Get Their Degrees In Hartford

HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD, CT — The University of Saint Joseph celebrated its 88th commencement Saturday at the XL Center in Downtown Hartford.

According to the West Hartford-based university, 219 students received bachelor’s degrees, 449 were conferred with Master’s degrees and 42 students earned doctoral degrees.

Bruce Mandell, chairman of the Hartford Athletic pro soccert team and chief executive officer of Data-Mail, Inc., was the commencement speaker and he received an Honorary Doctorate.

USJ offers classes and majors in health care and social services, education, digital media and the sciences with its undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
