West Hartford's USJ To Welcome Trick-Or-Treaters Monday
The University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford Monday, Oct. 28, is hosting its annual 'Truck and Treat' Halloween event for local families.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — College students at one university in West Hartford are welcoming area children and families for a special day of Halloween revelry on Monday.
The Halloween spirit will be on full display at the second-annual University of Saint Joseph’s 2nd Annual “Truck and Treat” on Monday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m.

USJ is located at 1678 Asylum Ave. and this family-friendly event is a special opportunity for families with small children from West Hartford and the Greater Hartford community to trick or treat, explore West Hartford’s emergency vehicles up close, and meet West Hartford first responders in person.
Festivities will begin with trick or treating in the Halloween-decorated Madonna residence hall, where USJ students will hand out candy.

From there, the “truck-and-treaters” will go outside to touch and explore emergency vehicles, such as those from the West Hartford police and fire departments, among other vehicles.
USJ student volunteers and staffers will hand out giveaways, doughnuts, and warm cider and USJ mascot "Joey" and one of the Yard Goats mascots will be on hand for photos.
