The Noah Webster House is a National Historic Landmark and the birthplace of Noah Webster, Jr., who advocated for a united country through a common culture and language.

Most have heard of Webster's Dictionary and Noah Webster would be the man the dictionary is named for.

Webster, according to the historical society, also played a significant role in the early formation of the United States.

"As we approach the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence (2026), the museum will be a leader in telling this story," wrote the society.

"We pledge to safeguard this history…and to continue to deliver quality educational experiences for students and adults alike. We hope that you’ll join us in keeping this history alive and accessible for future generations."
