Wethersfield Resident/Ex-Lawmaker Sworn In As Judge: Report

Gov. Ned Lamont swore in a group of 20 new superior court judges and court officials on Tuesday.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The newest class of state judges was sworn in earlier this week, with a Wethersfield resident among them.

The Connecticut Law Tribune reports Gov. Ned Lamont officially swore in several Superior Court judges and other court officials on Tuesday, July 11.

Lamont had announce their nominations in March and the legislature confirmed all of the appointees.

Sworn in was Wethersfield resident and former Connecticut lawmaker in the state House and Senate, Paul R. Doyle, 59.

Doyle graduated from Colby College and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

He was a member and partner of Kennedy Doyle LLC, a general practice law firm.

Doyle also simultaneously served in public office for 27 years, including three years as a member of the Wethersfield Town Council, 12 years as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives and 12 years as a member of the Connecticut State Senate.
