WHPS Sponsors Animal Rescue Booth at Celebrate West Hartford

The 28th annual Celebrate West Hartford will take place this weekend on the grounds of the WeHa Town Hall. The event attracts thousands of local residents looking to enjoy food, music, rides and more while supporting local artists and businesses.

For the eighth consecutive year, West Hartford Pet Sitters will be sponsoring the booth of Our Companions Animal Rescue. Celebrate visitors will be able to chat with Our Companions volunteers about the organization’s worthwhile mission and view photos of adoptable pets. WHPS staff members will also be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have about the company’s midday dog walking or vacation pet care services.

Attendees may also enter to win one of two pet-themed gift baskets containing a plethora of either cat- or dog-related goods that were generously donated by local pet stores and veterinary offices. All raffle profits will be donated to Our Companions to support the organization’s goal of "always doing the right thing for animals regardless of the challenge or cost."

In anticipation of Celebrate West Hartford, WHPS will also be donating $1 to Our Companions for each new "like" on the company Facebook page.

Celebrate West Hartford will be held rain or shine on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 8 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
