XS Brokers hires Jason Kent As Broker in West Hartford Office

(West Hartford, CT, September 19, 2016) XS Brokers, one of the largest independent insurance brokerages in New England, has hired Jason Kent as a broker in the firm’s Connecticut office. Attributing the hiring to the firm’s continued growth in the CT, NY and NJ territories, Adam Devine, CEO & President of XS Brokers stated “Jason’s experience in both managing and growing business, combined with his expertise in the technology sector, as well as with cyber risk, makes him a great fit in the Northeast corridor.”

Kent’s responsibilities will include expanding the firm’s footprint in both existing and new territories XS Brokers is entering as well as continuing to maintain the longstanding retail agency relationships he has built through the years.

Kent was most recently in underwriting and leadership roles with Chubb Insurance in Simsbury, CT; Denver, CO; and most recently Indianapolis, IN where he managed one of most profitable and growing books throughout all Chubb branches in the country.

In addition to production success, Kent was designated as the subject matter expert in both Cyber Liability and Alliance (Program) business, and was a team lead in the Technology sector. He also has experience in conducting educational training both within Chubb and for agents in his territories. He maintains the professional designation of RPLU (Registered Professional Liability Underwriter) and has a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.

Last year, XS Brokers recorded the highest gross written premium writings in its history, adding 15 new work associates, and placing a record amount of new business for the calendar year 2015. The firm is on pace for another record year in 2016 surpassing 2015’s achievements.
