2 Men Killed In Shooting Outside Bar In West Haven Were Employees, Business Says
"Their loss has deeply impacted our staff, friends, patrons, and the entire community," the bar said in a statement.
WEST HAVEN, CT — The two men fatally shot outside a bar in West Haven early Saturday morning were employees of the business, according to a statement from Muzeum Sports Bar and Grill.
Brothers Miguel Daniel Blake, 31, of New Haven, and 34-year-old Dravere Christopher Blake, 34, of Meriden, were killed in a shooting that injured another person.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on June 20 in the 600 block of Campbell Avenue, according to police.

The Muzeum Sports Bar and Grill, located at 631 Campbell Avenue, posted a statement on its Facebook page on Tuesday “with profound sadness,” acknowledging the “tragic loss of our beloved friends and team members, Dravere and Miguel.”
“At this time, Muzuem Bar & Grille is fully cooperating with the West Haven Police Department and will continue to provide any information or assistance requested as part of their ongoing investigation,” the statement reads. “We would also like to clarify that the incident did not occur inside Muzuem Bar & Grille, nor was the establishment involved in the events that took place. The incident occurred outside of the venue.

“Dravere and Miguel were more than employee and friends, they were valued members of our Muzuem family. Their loss has deeply impacted our staff, friends, patrons, and the entire community. We are grieving alongside their families and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
“As a business, we are committed to supporting their families through fundraising efforts and by keeping them lifted in our thoughts and prayers. We encourage our community to come together to show love, support, and compassion for everyone affected by this tragedy.
“To allow our staff and extended Muzuem family the time and space needed to mourn, Muzuem Bar & Grille will be closed for the next few weeks. We appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support during this period.”

A suspect in connection with a shooting in West Haven was taken into custody in Clinton on Saturday, according to Clinton police.
West Haven Police Sgt. Scott Allard said on Saturday afternoon that "possible evidence related to a shooting was located at a residence in Clinton."
"An individual was taken into custody in relation to a disturbance at the crime scene," Allard wrote in an email. "There have been no arrests on any individual for the shooting yet."
West Haven Police Chief Joseph S. Perno and Mayor Dorinda Borer will hold a news conference on Wednesday morning to discuss the investigation of the fatal shooting. Borer and Perno will also announce “immediate actionable measures to augment public safety,” according to an advisory from the mayor’s office.
