4 Charged For Stealing Car In Broad Daylight: West Haven Police

WEST HAVEN, CT — A 19-year-old Bridgeport man and three juveniles have been charged with stealing a car in West Haven on Tuesday morning, according to police. Alert neighbors helped police locate the suspects by providing important information.

Police responded to Winslow Drive at about 8:15 a.m. on the report of a stolen vehicle. Officers were already close by on Annawon Avenue investigating other incidents involving tampering with vehicles. Police said the suspects in those incidents were males driving in a silver vehicle.

“As officers were responding to Winslow Drive, other officers found the stolen vehicle along with the silver vehicle at Wheels Service Station on Jones Hill Road,” police said in a post on Facebook. “Awesome neighbors assisted in providing information to police which led to a speedy arrest and vehicle recovery.”

Patrick Geyer, 19, of Artic Street in Bridgeport, and three juveniles were charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. Geyer was held on bond.

The juveniles, whose names weren’t released because of their age, were released to guardians.
