Dog Diagnosed with Cancer to Receive Medical Attention: UPDATE
After seeing Kelsey's story, two organizations are working together in an effort to save the Cocker Spaniel's life.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Kelsey, the 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel recently diagnosed with an aggressive mammary cancer, has left the West Haven Animal Shelter and is on her way to a foster home.
To make a happy update even better, Kelsey is going to be receiving medical attention to help her beat the cancer.
After seeing Kelsey’s story on Patch.com, Dave Cubit, president/CEO of the Canine Knights Foundation, made contact with “Thank Dog Rescue” and together they are going to try and save Kelsey.

“We at Canine Knights are providing the funding for a fine needle aspiration on Kelsey, who is to be seen by Dr. Steven Price at Watertown Animal Hospital (Thursday) evening,” Cubit said in an email. “Thank Dog has been kind enough to remove her from the shelter and provide a foster until we can obtain the results of the biopsy, whereupon we'll all make a joint decision on whether or not we can remove the cancer so that Kelsey can be cancer free.”
