WEST HAVEN, CT — The former Denny’s restaurant site on Saw Mill Road in West Haven was sold to a Florida-based investor for $2.2 million in December, according to the New Haven Register.

Denny’s, located at 487 Sawmill Rd. across from the I-95 Exit 42 exit/on ramp, closed abruptly last September.

The Register reports the investor sees “strength” in the site and the location. There are no concrete plans for the use of the building, but the investor told the Register it will likely be retail, along the lines of a restaurant, medical or dental.
