Former West Haven Mayor Considers Running Again
Former Mayor Ed O'Brien made the announcement on Wednesday evening.
WEST HAVEN, CT — After a “year of soul-searching,” former West Haven Mayor Ed O’Brien announced that he has formed an exploratory committee and is considering another run for mayor. O’Brien, who served two terms as mayor, made the announcement in a video on YouTube. He said he decided to post the video after receiving many questions from residents, friends and family members, asking if he planned on running for mayor again.
O’Brien lost to Mayor Nancy Rossi as a write-in candidate in the 2017 election. Rossi won the primary election by a vote of 2,383 to 2,247.
