Man Charged In Fatal Shooting In West Haven: Police
A second person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 26-year-old man in West Haven, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A second person has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in West Haven in December 2021, according to police.
The shooting happened at a home on Platt Avenue on Dec. 16, 2021. Carlos Gore Jr., 26, of West Haven, was shot in the neck and died from his injuries, according to police.
Paul Burruss, 52, of New Haven, was arrested in connection with the homicide in May. He was charged with felony murder, home invasion, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

Police said further investigation by West Haven detectives identified Jarod Brown, 52, of Waterbury, as a second suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Dec. 22.
Brown was found at a Waterbury residence on Jan. 4, according to police.

Police said Brown was taken into custody by members of the West Haven Police Department Special Response Team after a “lengthy standoff.”
Brown was charged with felony murder, home invasion, first-degree robbery, and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery. He was held in lieu of a $2 million bond.
