New Details Released In Tragic Hot Car Death In West Haven
A 4-year-old boy died and his 2-year-old brother was hospitalized after they were found in a hot car last week in West Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Police say video surveillance footage shows the two young brothers involved in last week’s tragic hot car death entered the vehicle on their own, according to multiple reports. A 4-year-old boy died and his 2-year-old brother was hospitalized after they were found in a hot car on Treat Street in West Haven last week.
The New Haven Register reports the video footage suggests the boys weren’t left alone in the hot car outside their home in on Treat Street in West Haven. Police have identified Dusan Jenkins, 4, as the victim of last week’s tragic incident. His brother, 2-year-old Davion Jenkins, has been released from the hospital, according to NBC Connecticut.
Police received a 911 call at about 3 p.m. on July 19 by the father of the two boys, according to WFSB 3. The father was seen in the surveillance video retrieving the boys from the vehicle and bringing them back into the apartment, the New Haven Register reported on Friday.
