Obituary: Michael Peter Dzubaty, 73, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Michael Peter Dzubaty, age 73, died suddenly on August 24, 2020.

Michael was born on June 4, 1947, in Buffalo, NY, a son to the late Dr. Michael & Mary Markowich Dzubaty. He went to school at Trinity College, Oklahoma University, and Heidelburg University.
He was much beloved by his family and friends.

He was a loving father and husband. His family meant the world to him. He also enjoyed teaching math & astronomy, and was a member of the New Haven Astronomical Society, and a member of Bobriwka Ukrainian Camp in Colebrook, CT.

There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, and he brought a smile to everyone’s face.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Dzubaty, son, Michael Edward Peter Dzubaty, daughter, Tanya Dzubaty, son-in-law, Roman Kebalo, granddaughter, Tatiana Kebalo; and sister, Mary Hiller. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass will be held on September 1, at 10AM, at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, on 569 George St., New Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.
