Former 9/11 Flight Attendant Pushes Airline Beverage Cart Across West Haven (patch.com) — West Haven residents and first responders turned out along the shoreline as former United Airlines flight attendant Paul "Paulie" Veneto pushed his 9/11 tribute beverage cart through town on his Boston-to–ground zero journey. Mayor Dorinda Borer proclaimed "Paulie Veneto Day," local fire and police leaders joined the push, and a Field of Flags at Savin Rock honored fallen and ill FDNY members.
   

2. During Multi Agency Street Takeover Crackdown, West Haven Police Seized Dozen ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Made Arrest (patch.com) — Regional police, including West Haven officers, teamed up to crack down on an unsanctioned 'End of Summer Ride-Out' that drew hundreds of ATV and dirt bike riders across New Haven County. West Haven police played a major role, seizing 12 vehicles and making an arrest as part of 11 total arrests and 18 vehicle seizures tied to the street takeover activity.
   

3. Smoke Shop Among 49 New Businesses Registered In West Haven In August (patch.com) — West Haven saw 49 new business registrations in August, signaling fresh economic activity and new options for residents. New ventures include Raz Family smoke shop, Mini Bites mobile food business, and Fruitopia quick-service restaurant, alongside several remodelers, builders, and trucking companies.
   

4. Univ. of New Haven launches Executive-in-Residence program (hartfordbusiness.com) — Right next to its West Haven campus, the University of New Haven is building out its new Elevation Center and has launched an Executive-in-Residence program there. Seasoned leaders in fields like manufacturing, finance, technology, and leadership will mentor students and faculty, strengthening local workforce development and connecting West Haven's academic community with regional industry.
