• West Haven Resident, 2 Notre Dame Grads Among Diamond Club Hall Of Fame Inductees (patch.com) — West Haven sports fans will see one of their own, Mike Madera, honored with a distinguished service award at the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club Hall of Fame banquet on Oct. 22 in Branford. Notre Dame High School of West Haven graduates Joe Tonelli Sr. and Bob Turcio are also being inducted, highlighting the strong local legacy in baseball and athletics.
   

• New Haven Transit Facility Improvements (ct.gov) — Bus riders in West Haven could soon see faster, more reliable trips as the Move New Haven BRT links the city with New Haven Union Station and Hamden. A series of related projects will upgrade Union Station, nearby parking and multimodal facilities, local intersections, and signal systems to improve safety, accessibility, and overall travel experience.
   

• CT town turns against data centers: 'Yes, please' becomes 'No way' (courant.com) — West Haven is cited as one of several Connecticut towns where resident pushback against data centers has inspired Beacon Falls neighbors to organize lawn signs, petitions, and calls for a moratorium. Beacon Falls officials say no formal application exists yet, but residents worry about environmental impacts, noise, and transparency as a large data center site is aggressively marketed.
