Police Seize Cocaine, 100 Bags of Heroin, $10K in West Haven Drug Bust

Police say an investigation into a report of shots fired resulted in the arrest of three people for selling drugs out of a home: BREAKING

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police have arrested three people on drug charges in connection to a report of shots fired on West Spring Street on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to a residence on West Spring Street near Greta Street at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday on a report of a car crash and shots fired, possibly from a fleeing vehicle.

Police secured search warrants and discovered evidence of drug use and a drug sales operation inside the home.

Officers also observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in a damaged vehicle in the driveway, police said in a press release.

Detectives located more than one pound of marijuana, approximately 10 grams of cocaine, approximately 100 bags of heroin, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, numerous boxes of ammunition, drug packaging material and approximately $10,000 in cash, according to police.

Police arrested Daniel Nieves, 25, Alba Nieves, 28, and Sameh Hassan, 31, who all reside at the West Spring Street address.

They were all charged with numerous narcotics offenses and Hassan was additionally charged with firearm offenses because police said he is a convicted felon and not allowed to possess firearms. All were held on bond.
