Registered Sex Offender Exposes Himself to Kids at Daycare: West Haven Police

A man who lives behind the daycare is accused of opening his coat and exposing himself to a woman and the children at the daycare.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A registered sex offender is accused of exposing himself to children at a daycare in West Haven, according to police.

West Haven Police responded to an Admiral Street daycare at about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday on the report of an adult male exposing himself.

The woman who made the complaint told police that a man who lives behind the daycare came outside and opened his coat exposing himself to her and the children of the daycare.

Officers located the suspect at 84 Bristol Street, which is directly behind the daycare, as the rear yards join, police said.

Lawrence Kelly, 46, a registered sex offender, was arrested on charges of public indecency, risk of injury to a child and breach of peace. He was held on bond.
