West Haven Police Mourn Death of Retired K-9 Tex

Its with a heavy heart that we announce, this afternoon WHPD K9 Tex assigned to Officer Matt Haynes was laid to rest surrounded by fellow police officers along with friends and family. Tex Graduated from the CSP K9 program (class #127) in 2007 and worked until his retirement in 2014. When retired Tex remained home with Officer Haynes where he loved being with his family. Tex was honored with numerous awards and commendations for securing felons, finding evidence and lost persons. Tex was also featured on the cover of an international K9 publication. Rest In Peace sweet pup, we'll all play again.....
