All Easton Schools And Joel Barlow Closed Thursday

EASTON, CT — Schools in Easton, as well as Joel Barlow High School in Redding, will be closed Thursday.

Buses will be returning to Joel Barlow to pick up those students already dropped off to transport them back home, according to a notification from the Town of Easton.

The closures are due to trees down and flooding conditions, following a massive rainfall as the Northeast got soaked by the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida on Wednesday.

United Illuminating is reporting that 12 Easton residences or businesses are without power as of Thursday morning.

Several flood warnings are in effect in Connecticut as numerous roads remain closed.
