Body Of Weston Man, Vehicle Pulled From Aspetuck River: Police
The deceased victim's submerged vehicle had been found Thursday in the river, directly behind Aspetuck Falls in Fairfield.

WESTON, CT — The body of a 59-year-old Weston man was found in the Aspetuck River on Thursday, and police believe he may have crashed his vehicle into the river during Sunday's heavy storm.
Robert MacIsaac was found dead at about 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, in the Aspetuck River in the area of Bayberry Lane and Easton Road in Westport.
Earlier Thursday afternoon, Weston police reported to Fairfield police that MacIsaac's vehicle had been found submerged in the river, directly behind Aspetuck Falls in Fairfield, but no one was inside.

"Further investigation revealed evidence suggesting that the operator of the vehicle may have been inside when the vehicle entered the water," Stahl said in a statement.
MacIsaac was last seen at about 5 p.m. on Sunday, and the vehicle was spotted in Wilton that night, at about 10 p.m., according to Stahl.
"A preliminary investigation suggests that the incident could be related to the severe weather conditions that occurred in the area this past Sunday, although the exact cause of the vehicle leaving the roadway remains under investigation," Stahl said. "The official cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner."
Stahl added, "Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Mr. MacIsaac during this difficult time."
Assisting Fairfield police in the search and recovery were the Connecticut State Police Aviation Unit; State Police SAR K9 Unit; Westport Police Department; and Weston Police Department, all of whom showed "their dedication and professionalism throughout this operation," Stahl said.
