First Church of Christ, Congregational Announces 44th Annual Artisan Fair

REDDING CENTER, CT — A Redding tradition returns this fall as the First Church of Christ, Congregational welcomes the community to its 44th Annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For more than four decades, the Artisan Fair has brought together neighbors, families, and visitors from across Fairfield County for a day filled with handcrafted artwork, delicious homemade food, live entertainment, shopping, children’s activities, and one of the area’s largest community tag sales. Best of all, admission is free.

Discover One-of-a-Kind Artisan Creations

Nearly 50 local and regional artisans will transform the church grounds into an outdoor marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, paintings, home décor, gourmet specialties, and much more.

“In addition to welcoming many of our favorite returning artisans, we’re excited to introduce several talented new exhibitors this year,” said Kara Morgan, Artisan Fair Coordinator. “Whether you’re beginning your holiday shopping or simply looking for something unique, you’ll find beautiful handcrafted pieces created by incredibly talented artists.”

Treasure Hunt at the Giant Tag Sale

One of the Fair’s most anticipated attractions is the Giant Tag Sale inside Ahlberg Hall, where bargain hunters can browse an incredible selection of household items, collectibles, seasonal decorations, sporting goods, toys, books, furniture, and much more.

Visitors won’t want to miss the popular Jewelry Boutique, featuring an impressive collection of vintage, costume, and fine jewelry, along with scarves, handbags, and fashion accessories.

Just across the campus, the historic Studio—an 18th-century carriage workshop—will once again host the Barn Sale, showcasing antiques, artwork, collectibles, and distinctive home furnishings.

Early shoppers can gain first access beginning at 9:00 a.m. with an Early Bird Pass:

·$15 – Includes access to the Barn Sale in the Studio

Great Food, Live Music & Family Fun

Our Artisan Fair would be complete without the homemade favorites that have become a tradition all their own. Church volunteers will once again serve fresh apple pie, homemade Congregational soup, grilled burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, veggie burgers, fries, popcorn, refreshing drinks, and other delicious treats throughout the day.

Guests can also purchase seasonal mums, pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks while enjoying live entertainment on the church grounds.

This year’s entertainment includes:

The Keelers (10:30 a.m. – 12:00 pm)
The Keelers are a music duo from Redding, CT who entangle harmonies, old and new songs, and community connection.

Enchanted Garden Dancers (12:00 PM -12:45 PM)                    Returning by popular demand, the Enchanted Garden Dancers will once again delight our audience with energetic performances showcasing a variety of dance styles that captivated Fairgoers last year.

Snakeskin Boots Band (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Snakeskin Boots Band is an American Country Rock Band from Fairfield County Connecticut, with a mix of original songs and covers. Their voices and musical songwriting style bring a unique sound. Kurt's rich, deep rocking quality, and Helen's warm soulful touches fill a distinctive sound into our music. Performances are filled with energy and passion, showcasing chemistry on stage.

Win Big in the Great Raffle

Visitors can also try their luck in the Fair’s Great Raffle, featuring more than 50 exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters.

“The Artisan Fair is something our congregation and community look forward to every year,” said Kathie Cyr, Chair of the Artisan Fair. “It’s more than a day of shopping and entertainment—it’s an opportunity for neighbors to come together while supporting First Church’s outreach mission. The proceeds help us continue serving local families, community organizations, and charitable ministries throughout the year.”

Parking & Shuttle Service

Free parking is available at Redding Elementary School, 33 Lonetown Road, Redding, CT. Complimentary shuttle buses will provide continuous service to and from the church throughout the day. The ride takes approximately two minutes.
